Good Friday

Very beautiful good friday clipart pictures - Clipartix

Yup, this is Good Friday.  For some of us, it also means a day of fasting and abstinence (from meat).  Hubby and I just finished eating our main meal for the day.  It was very good.  I got the recipe from Sam's blog post.  Here is the link to the recipe.  It is Linguine with broccoli, pine nuts and goat cheese.  Very easy to make.  Since I did not have any linguine, I used my green lentil spaghetti.  We really love Gluten Free pasta.  It doesn't sit in the tummy like the 'normal' pasta.  We especially love the gluten free made with lentils or chick peas.  We stay away from any of the pastas made with corn.  (darn GMO!)

I hit the ground running this morning.  My objective was to get all my 'to do' list completed by the time we sat to watch Good Friday Mass at 3pm.  The laundry has been put away, plants watered, clock wound, and got face mask materials ready for sewing.  I have 5 more masks to make before Monday.  Not an issue.............I clocked it and once they are cut out it takes about 20 minutes to make one of them.

There was a little knitting done on the front porch this morning too.

Another gorgeous day here.  It was a bit chilly though.  The wind was blowing pretty good and I think it might have been 60 outside when I was out there.  I didn't care, I just wanted to get some fresh air and look at something other than the inside of my house.

I entered a give away today.  It is the second giveaway I have entered this week.  If you are on Instagram, you can enter too.

You need to go to whimzeestitches and follow him.  There are a few other 'rules' to enter the give away, but it's not anything hard.  But hurry, the giveaway ends on Monday the 13th with the drawing being held on Wednesday the 15th.

I found a little funny today on FB.

Until next time......................happy crafting & stay well!

  1. Glad you enjoyed the recipe. It's one of my favs! It was cooler here too so I had to wear a jacket when I went for my walk. It was windy too which always makes it seen cooler. Where are those winds when it's hot in the summer? That giveaway looks pretty. Good for you sewing masks. Loved your joke! LOL! Happy Easter!!!
