Working

Image result for working

The above photo is kind of what I am feeling like today.  This is my last full day at home until this weekend.  Trying to get all the necessary home chores completed before bed tonight.  I will say, I am over halfway there.

There has been 4 loads of laundry done today.  That was my main goal.  Veggies and fruits have been cleaned and are ready for consumption for the rest of the week.  The dishwasher has been emptied (again).  The garbage man has already been by so the trash can has been brought back up to the house.

The things that are left to do are:  fill my car with gas, go to Costco to get my glasses adjusted (they are rubbing on the top of my ear), change the sheets on our bed, and last of all.....................knit.

Now for an update.  Last night, I made french dip for us. Let me tell you...............it was the best french dip EVER!  There was enough leftover for us to have 2 more meals from it.  Super easy too, since it was made in the crockpot.  We had it for lunch today since hubby teaches a class tonight and won't be home until after 8pm.  That is too late to have anything heavy in the tummy.  I just put the leftovers in a sauce pan with some of the au jus and warmed it up slowly.  It was even more tender than last night and the flavors really marinated overnight too.  We used provolone cheese and some horseradish to accent the sandwich.

Would you like a little funny for today?  Here you go:

LEARNING TO CUSS
A 6 year old and a 4 year old are raking the yard.
The 6 year old asks, "You know what? I think it's about time we started learning to cuss". The 4 year old nods his head in approval.
The 6 year old continues, "When we go in for breakfast, I'm gonna say something with hell and you say something with ass".
The 4 year old agrees with enthusiasm.
When the mother walks into the kitchen and asks the 6 year old what he wants for breakfast, he replies,
"Aw, hell, Mom, I guess I'll have some Cheerios".
WHACK!
He flies out of his chair, tumbles across the kitchen floor, gets up, and runs upstairs crying his eyes out, with his mother in hot pursuit, slapping his rear with every step. His mom locks him in his room and shouts, "You can stay there until I let you out!"
She then comes back downstairs, looks at the 4 year old and asks with a stern voice, "And what do YOU want for breakfast, young man?"
"I don't know", he blubbers, "but you can bet your ass it won't be Cheerios"..

And now, something for you to contemplate.  This can be applied to so many areas of life right now.

Until next time................happy crafting!
