While I was doing that, hubby was busy getting our pool filters all cleaned up for the upcoming season. He needed one little rubber grommet to be able to put it all back together again. Three pool supply stores later and I had to deliver the bad news...........there was not one in the entire valley. He ordered it off of Amazon and is patiently waiting for it to be delivered yet today. It is guaranteed to be here before 9pm. We are both hoping it gets here before the sun goes down . It will make it much easier to get everything put back together if we do not need to do it by flashlight.
I don't know how many of you know, but our desert does have it's blooming season. That season is now. Here are a few photos of what is blooming at the moment.
This is our state flower................the Saguaro cactus. What is kind of cool is.......after these blossoms are done we get this:
It's almost like we get a second burst of color.
The other bloom happening
Ocotilla blooms. It makes this cactus look like it has flames on it's tips.
The Yucca cactus
JoshuaTrees
Prickly pear cactus. These babies can bloom in many colors. The Yellow is the one we see the most but there are also pink, red and orange.
There are so many more, but you get the idea. We do have a blooming season. I haven't even mentioned the trees we have that bloom here. Before you think I have been out shooting photos...............all of these were pulled off of google. I will say..............I have all of these blooms in my neighborhood though. Next time, I will take photos of all the blooms I have happening in my own yard.
Until next time..................Happy Crafting!!!!!!!
Hi Marsha :) Thanks for sharing the photos..it's true that I don't think of "blooms" when I think of the desert, but those cacti are just lovely!
