I knitted 34 rows on the shawl. That leaves 36 rows to complete by the end of this week. Then there is the soak and block. My goal is still to have it 100% done by April 30th. Since I have dog sitting duty again this week, I am sure it will happen.
Here is a place where you can enjoy listening (reading) about all my adventures as a lefty in a righty world. It is not easy to do this at times but I have managed to do it for over 70 years. Crafting is probably the hardest thing to do as a lefty since all directions are printed for righties. I have managed to adjust and will be more than happy to share my crafts with you thru pictures and writings. Enjoy!
Today, I spent most of my morning making Luna's dog food. Between the crockpot, instant pot and microwave I managed to get 23 days of food bagged up for her. Most of it is in the freezer. Yes, I love my old lady dog that much. With the bird flu hitting the chickens, making her food is going to get much more expensive from here on. She's worth it though.

Today is Easter for our family. Our contribution to Easter dinner is the ham and the bread. So, yesterday, I made two loaves of bread.

This past week we had house painters come out and give us an estimate on painting the exterior of our home. The painting will commence on May 3rd and 4th. We also had a flooring person come and give us an estimate on the price of laying the last of our tile flooring in our home. That will be happening the 12th and 13th of May. I will be so happy when this is all completed and we can finally sit back and enjoy our home. My dogs will be happy too, when no more strangers are traipsing through the house LOL.
What's new with you?
Until Next Time...............................Happy Crafting!!!!!!!!!!!!
This morning, I realized I have had no desire to knit, cross stitch, crochet or sew. It's not like this just happened today either. This has been going on since Sunday. There is a pair of socks sitting to the right of me. A cross stitch sampler laying to my left. Crochet projects are just a room away from where I sit in the evening. Sewing materials are in the room with the crochet projects. It's not like I don't have anything to work on.
Monday evening I forced myself to pick up the socks and put a few rows on them. And when I say I forced myself, I truly mean it. What is going on? Seldom have I ever gone through this kind of a crafting slump. The idea of casting on a new project does not even appeal to me. Someone needs to take my temperature LOL!
What is bringing me joy at the moment is reading, journaling and listening to music. Another thing bringing me joys is working in the kitchen. Every few months I go through all our kitchen cabinets and drawers and cull out the things that are not being used or are useful for us. It is amazing how much 'stuff' I am able to get out of my house each time I do this. My closet is on the clean out list too. I have clothes in there that have not been on my body for over 5 years! They need to go to a new home too.
So, maybe, it is not that my mojo has left. Maybe it is the fact it has shifted to doing other things for a little while. I am sure this decluttering bug will not last too long. But while it is here I will take advantage of it and move things out of my home! Could this be what experts call 'spring fever'?
Has spring fever hit you? What changes happen to you when it hit?
Until next time..............................................
