WEEK 17

Ah, sitting here with my doors and windows open.  Letting in the fresh fall air is such a pleasure!  I may need to grab my knitting and head out to sit on the front porch soon.  We had horrible storms this past week with quite a bit of damage all around us. (We are ok) There was golf ball sized hail,  heavy rain, strong winds of over 60 MPH, trees uprooted, car windows blown out, roofs removed, all in a one mile radius of us.  The only damage we incurred was one of our patio umbrellas had the cloth ripped off of its ribs.  Totally replaceable.  I was worried about my plants but other than a few leaves off my trees and all the blooms off my Mexican birds of paradise, nothing else was injured. I feel blessed.

When it gets stormy out, I always want to be in the kitchen making comfort food.  Hubby has been happy with the warm and loving food that has appeared on our table.  He especially likes the brownies that have appeared.

As for knitting...............Yes, I did some of that too.

Sock #1 is on it's way.  Maybe it will be finished this week.

The prayer shawl has gotten love too.  The progress keeper is where it was the last time I showed it to y'all.  I will finish up the skein of red yarn and them do the patterned area in charcoal grey.  This goes with me each week to our hour of adoration prayer.  Otherwise, I seldom work on it.

I forgot to mention in last weeks post................Last Sunday was our 51st year of being married!  It gets better every year.

Do any of you have weekly schedules?  You know, things you do each week on the same day? I have been looking over my daily planner and noticed I have fallen into a weekly routine for the past year.  I always thought that after retirement we would no longer need to schedule daily activities and chores. Silly me!

Anyway................

I have a chuckle for you again............................................

Until Next Time...................Happy Crafting!!
