It finally feels like fall is upon us. We are below 90F so that is always good. Our nights are in the 60's so windows are open and fresh air is a welcomed change from the A/C. Since we no longer have a dog, I can now open up my front door without a little dude barking at everything that moves.
I was absent from posting last week. I truly did not have much to report and nothing big was happening in life in general. This week I do have a finish for y'all
Hubby has a new pair of RCR socks. I bet they will be on his feet tomorrow. I just finished washing them so they will be in his drawer later today.
Not to let my sock needles become idle..................
I started another pair for him last night. Again, this is Show Stopper yarn from Leading Men Fiber Arts and the color is Kaleidoscope.
I am still working on the prayer shawl but not much has been added to it since last update. Now that the weather has cooled off a bit, I will pick up the Lego blanket again and hopefully get it completed before the end of the year.
I got a new pair of shoes this week.
I have issues with my feet thanks to my RA. These are 'barefoot' shoes. I wore them all day yesterday as we went to Costco, Sam's Club, attended Mass and went to dinner at the end of the day. They were on my feet for 10 hours. I was ready to slip back into my Crocs by the end of the day but was impressed that my legs, feet and toes did not scream at me.
I have been spending more time in the kitchen lately too.
Waffles for dinner is one of my all time favorite meals. Hubby and I do that about once a month. Add a little bacon on the side and YUM!
There have been brownies made and also a cinnamon swirl coffee cake. Hubby is a happy camper.
We are still working on decluttering. Most of the stuff we got from Stacie's house has been distributed where it belongs. We are now working on our own 'stuff' again. I swear, it is a never ending battle! Every time I think we have things under control I see more
stuff we do not need or use.
I do have a little humor for you today......................

Great socks. Haha. Was just talking yesterday about how my hubby cleared the garage three years ago as a gift to me. Every square inch is filled again!!! We have a huge house yet I have no place to store a toddler bed after my granddaughter visits next week! It's crazy. I could have "breakfast for dinner" every day. MaureenHD
ReplyDeleteWell I hope the shoes help you out. I love the sock color!! very pretty :) I'm still battling my autoimmune symptoms, it's a good day when they are there but quiet enough for me to concentrate on my crafts.
ReplyDeleteI love how happily you knit socks for your husband, I am much less willing 😆 I absolutely know how you feel about decluttering, I still have so much to get rid of and have been messed around by people on freebies Facebook pages that say they want things but then dont turn up and charity shops are inundated, so I will have to be more ruthless and get things recycled where possible instead. I wish you luck with yours. Liz
ReplyDeleteI hope you continue getting on well with the shoes. The socks are lovely as always!
ReplyDeleteYour hubby's new socks look spiffy, Marsha. I can only imagine how much he enjoys each new pair of socks you knit him. I'm glad the barefoot shoes are comfortable. I have two pair and I sort of feel like I slap the floor as I walk. I've never worn them away from home, but now you make me want to see how I would fare with them out in the wild.
