WEEK 19

 

Hello.  It is another glorious day here in the valley of the sun.  Our torrential rains have left us and the the flooded areas are starting to dry up.  Fall is trying hard to make its way here.  We have lovely night time lows in the 50's but are still in the low 80's during the day.  *sigh* I really am hoping we get some COLD weather this winter.  Need to kill some bugs!

Ok, enough of that.  Y'all are here to hear about what has been happening with my needles and hooks.  Well, not what you would expect.  I did not cast on hubby's second sock last week.  The yarn and needles are sitting right next to me but are idle.  What I did do is pick up an old WIP with hopes and dreams of finishing it before Christmas.

Yup, the Lego blanket has been pulled out of time out and is actively being worked on.  It is the only item I have worked on this week.  OOPS!  I did work on the prayer shawl once but only put about 4 rows on it.

Anyway.............if my calculations are correct, I should be finished with the body of the blanket by the end of this month.  I want to do a border on it so that will take a bit of time as the blanket is quite large.  The border design has not been figured out yet.  Any suggestions?  This is being gifted to my son so don't want anything frilly or girly.

In other news.................The new toilet has been installed.  Doesn't take much to make me happy.  Our son installed it with the help of Adelle's boyfriend.  (FYI Adelle is Jaxon's legal name and she has decided to be called by that again)  Hubby thought he had ordered a high rise when in fact it is chair height.  I was amazed how much more compact the new one piece toilets are!  It fits in our powder room so much better than the old one did.

Other than that, nothing major happening here.  I need to get back to the blanket so.............
