I do not have pictures for you this week. I am out of town and in the process of packing I forgot my cord to my camera that will allow me to download pictures to this computer. So that being said I will tell you that I have made progress on the scarf that I have been working on. I am about 6 inches away from it being finished. I did not bring it with me on holiday as it is getting a bit bulky to work on during travel.
I did cast on the Hat that is to match the scarf. I did that while sitting at the airport waiting to board the plane. Then I knitted on it for the two hour flight that I had. I would assume I have about 3 inches done on it at this point. I have not measured it as my "new" puppy chewed up my ruler that I always use with my knitting/crocheting and I have not replaced it. So I will be heading off to a store to pick one up during the vacation time.
I also brought my socks with me and have found a pattern that I want to do them in. Of course the pattern is cuff down and I started the socks toe up so will need to take the minute bit off the needles and start off on them. But that is ok as I have been wanting to do a magic loop pattern from the top down.
I will update you all again next week but still will not have pictures as I still will not be home.
Happy Crafting!
Here is a place where you can enjoy listening (reading) about all my adventures as a lefty in a righty world. It is not easy to do this at times but I have managed to do it for over 70 years. Crafting is probably the hardest thing to do as a lefty since all directions are printed for righties. I have managed to adjust and will be more than happy to share my crafts with you thru pictures and writings. Enjoy!
Hope you have a good trip and plenty of time for the socks! Will look forward to pictures when you're back :)
ReplyDeleteI too just spent time on a plane knitting, sure helps pass the time. Also like you, I adjust what I'm working on with that in mind. I never take a cord to connect camera and computer; much easier and faster to remove your memory card from the camera and load that into your computer. Hope you're having a wonderful trip.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love new puppies ? Look forward to pics next week.
ReplyDeleteOh that means your next YOP Post will be full of pictures! Hooray.
ReplyDeleteHave fun on your trip.
Sounds like you've overcome lots of adversity to get as far as you have! That's me as well, forgetting my camera cord! Looking forward to pictures next week.
ReplyDeleteLOL at your puppy! Good luck with the hat and socks. I've just wound a ball of aran today so I can start on a hat to match my scarf too.
