Looking forward to pictures of your projects. LOL!
I agree with the other gals about the DK weight. Congrats on using your stash but don't limit yourself too much...you deserve to enjoy each day! You've done an amazing job on your YOP list!
Safe travels to the funeral.Sam I Am......https://www.blogger.com/profile/17358633233189452832noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3860749103837676419.post-68143786987739524152015-02-07T16:55:59.768-07:002015-02-07T16:55:59.768-07:00I think knitting in the round is a wonderful idea ...I think knitting in the round is a wonderful idea and I do it anytime I can manage it as I really don't like seaming. I agree with Ruth regarding trying the doll pattern with DK with needle size adjustments. Sport weight is an enigma to me. I can hardly find it and I am not sure I like the weight of it all that much.

Glad your work technology issues have settled down! We had some issues this past week and it is so frustrating as my whole job hinges on certain things working correctly and smoothly on a consistent basis. Grrrr....I did end up writing a "strong" email to our IT guys about it as I think they are clueless about the ripple effect when things are clicking along on all cylinders.

I hear all the time how busy my retired friends are and all that jazz, and all I can say is I can hardly wait to try it out and see for myself! I have about 10 more years to go.

xoxoxo Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13029664492284742183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3860749103837676419.post-49304701226115300242015-02-04T04:02:59.534-07:002015-02-04T04:02:59.534-07:00Why don't you try one of the swap groups on Ra...Why don't you try one of the swap groups on Ravelry to get the yarn that you need? I did that when I needed some cotton and had none in my stash. It was great - got the cotton and managed to off-load some yarn that I had no particular use for. As long as you don't *purchase* any yarn and the actual quantity of yarn doesn't change it's not cheating on the yarn diet, is it? At least that's what I'm telling myself!! My February is chock a block full and other things keep popping up and I'm not sure when I'm going to fit those in so I get where your coming from, I just refuse to look at my March in case it's as busy :) Well done on the socks and on the boot cuffs it seems to me your making great progress on your list and it makes sense to rip the top out and do it in the round.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3860749103837676419.post-7296160644166650742015-02-03T19:19:47.883-07:002015-02-03T19:19:47.883-07:00I'm told when you retire it's an enduring ...I'm told when you retire it's an enduring mystery as to how you ever had time to do the things you used to do, as there are so many other things to take up your time! Just try to make sure there's lots of play time.

As for the yarn diet, I typically use a DK in place of a Sport weight yarn without batting an eyelash. And it usually works out!Minding My Own Stitcheshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13946752212001968413noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3860749103837676419.post-84539177860297545142015-02-03T16:47:56.075-07:002015-02-03T16:47:56.075-07:00Ah, I've just finished some socks myself - the...Ah, I've just finished some socks myself - the legs seemed to go on forever!! If it means you will be happier and will wear the sweater, then ripping may be the only answer.Lucy Bowenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11910653399470977610noreply@blogger.com
